Following on from yesterday's efforts by 4MW being showcased on our website, it seems that everyone wants their moment of glory!
So, not be outdone, 5LC today wrote some Christmas poems and, thanks to Sra. Stevens being on hand with her trusty magic microphone, they would like to share four or five of them with you. Sra. Stevens was particularly pleased that several of the pupils decided to write their poems in Spanish - especially as she didn't suggest it! So, click play on the Voki on your right, and then read on for another few verses to get you in the mood for Christmas.
Today in RE 4MW were looking at how Christians use the Bible to find out guidance about life. We talked about King Solomon who was famed for his wisdom and read part of Ecclesiastes, a book that is about his search for knowledge. Not many people would think that they know any of Ecclesiastes off by heart, but there is a very famous song, sung by The Byrds, inspired by Chapter 3 which was our focus today. Do you know what it is? Read on to find out the answer, and to see and hear the results of our lesson!

Christmas is getting closer and there is lots going on at Whitehouse Common Primary School. Shows to rehearse and perform, songs to learn, cards and craft to make in class and on Parent Partnership mornings. And amidst all that, Señora Stevens has had another one of her 'good ideas'!

For the last couple of weeks, Sra. Stevens has spent her lunchtimes getting rather hot and bothered rehearsing three dance routines in Spanish with a group of Key Stage 2 pupils in preparation for an excting challenge.
Following on from the success of Take Ten en français, Devon Education Services is developing Take Ten en español, and we were asked to take part. I know - Sutton Coldfield is miles from Devon but it all happened after Sra. Stevens got chatting with Chris Wakeley from Devon LA at Primary Languages Show last year and was volunteered by her friend Jo Rhys-Jones as a super Spanish teacher!
