We can't believe we are half way through our stay already!!! A good night's sleep was had by all and once breakfast was over with, all children set out on their day's activities. We have been raft building, gorge walking, canoeing and have even rowed across Ullswater!!! Mrs Davey and Miss Monkey erm sorry I mean Miss Maltby have very tired arms!!! The sun broke out by early morning which just added to the wonderful time that is being had by all. Our evening meal will be curry, casserole, cheese and potatoe pie with chocolate sponge and custard to follow mmmh. Another busy evening ahead to look forward to. A big thank you to Miss Breeze for uploading our photos for us. Signing off from Howtown tune into tomorrow for our next update. |

Today we woke up after a good night's sleep to enjoy a full English breakfast. What a treat! We then set off on various activities in our groups. These included: canoeing, raft building, tunnelling, gorge walking and climbing. Photos are to follow very soon!
Children are having a fabulous time and have now refuelled on chilli, pizza, macaronni cheese and salad followed by sponge pudding and fruit. All children are now ready for more activities. Following this we will enjoy a DVD and a hot chocolate before a much needed good night's sleep.
Photos to follow very soon! |

We arrived in good time and were all amazed by the stunning views (especially from Mrs Hawksworth's and Miss Maltby's bedrooms). Centre staff led the children to their first activity called "jog and dip" this was a gentle jog to Ullswater and then a plunge off the jetty into freezing cold water!! Pictures off Miss Maugham's leap will be published for all to see. After showers and bed making a lovely tea of chicken and mushroom pie, tuna pasta bake, cottage pie was enjoyed by all. An evening of "chaos" to follow!!! Don't panic this is the planned activity that will involve team building and bonding. A bedtime of half nine (we hope!!!) to ensure a good nights rest for our busy day tomorrow. Goodnight from all of us tune in soon for our next update. |

The PTA arranged for Foundation Stage and KS1 children to have a special suprise. Punch and Judy visited and made everyone laugh. KS2 children also had a fantastic time at their disco. Many thanks to the PTA for arranging such great events.

The whole school had a real treat today! The Lions of Zululand came to visit us and gave us an amazing performance of their dance and music. It was a fantastic morning and Years 3, 4 and 5 were even luck enough to take part in workshops, after the show, with some of the performers. We would like to thank the group for visiting us and letting us watch their fantastic performance. For more information on The Lions of Zululand [click here].
