Voices of the World With November nearly at an end, it's time to submit this month's task for the Voices of the World project.
If you recall, the task was to create a Slideshow using OneTrueMedia of Whitehouse Common pupils singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Spanish accompanied by their original artwork.
How did we do? Read on to see our presentation!

You need hands! Over the last couple of weeks, Whitehouse Common has gone handprint crazy.
Every class has participated in the Hands across the World project organised by Imagiverse , and each child has produced a handprint on the theme Holidays around the World featuring their favourite festival or celebration. On the back, pupils shared a couple of sentences about their choice of festival / celebration to inform the recipient of the handprint.
Read on for more information and pictures!

Voices of the World Having put the Spanish National Anthem behind us, this month's task for Voices of the World once more involves sound and pictures. We'll be using OneTrue Media to create a presentation based on a famous nursery rhyme - Centellea Estrellita - well, it had to be in Spanish didn't it? Never fear however as it's famous in English too. Read on to find out if you've worked out which nursery rhyme it is, and also to find out how to be involved. |

Have you been inspired by a teacher at Whitehouse Common? Do you think a governor needs to be thanked for their invaluable support of our School development? If so, then why not nominate them for a Teaching Award. There is no better way to say thank you. Making a nomination is a fantastic way to give teachers, school governors and schools the recognition they deserve. To nominate visit www.teachingawards.com

You may have noticed some large yellow and green triangles in the Nursery playground this week and thought that Foundation Stage were doing some outdoor geometry. However, they formed the huge wooden supports for Stage 1 of the Nursery Outdoor Classroom. And, just like on all good makeover shows, here are the Before and After shots! When completed, this will, as the name suggests, allow the classroom to extend outdoors, offering shelter from the elements whilst children explore the world around them. And what a lot there is to see and do in the grounds of WCPS! Watch this space for news of Stage 2! BEFORE AFTER |
