Congratulations to all those children who took part in the Bikeability course level 1 and 2 last week. Here we see Adam and John, cycling instructors putting the children through their paces.
All 25 children passed which Adam described as unprecedented!! So well done everyone. As a reward for all their efforts, Adam and John took the children on a cycle ride to Sutton Park for a well earned ice cream. Well done everyone, certificates will arrive next week.

WATCHING EDUCATIONAL FILMS/VIDEOS
As many of you will already know, Visual Literacy is an integral part of our teaching of reading and writing at Whitehouse Common Primary School. Children use popular films to develop their understanding of characters and settings, to develop their vocabulary and use of different sentence structures, and as a stimulus for many speaking and listening activities including drama.

RE: FAIR PROCESSING NOTICE
Whitehouse Common Primary School processes personal data about its pupils and is a “data controller” in respect of this for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. It processes this data to: • support its pupils’ teaching and learning; • monitor and report on their progress; • provide appropriate pastoral care, and • assess how well the school as a whole is doing.

Well done to all the children who took part in the "Generation Green" competition to make a draught excluder. All the entries were very imaginative, and green! Lots of old materials reused to make something useful again. They will go on display for all to see. Congratulations goes to winners, Grace Allcock 1HB and Rachel Neill JF. Look out for our next competition which will be announced after Whitsun. |
